Concerts and Artist Bookings.

Over the last 20 years, we have organized hundreds of shows with upcoming artists in dozens of countries (mainly club to mid size venues) and have also collaborated with top-tier artists.
Among them are Joss Stone, Richard Dorfmeister, Finlay Quaye, Goldie, DakhaBrakha, Philippe Cohen Solal (Gotan Project), Omar Souleyman, Akua Naru, Cleveland Watkiss, and individual members of legendary bands such as The Prodigy, Sepultura, Soulwax, Morcheeba and Egypt80.

With a particular interest music from Africa, we organized concerts with Oliver Mtukudzi, Tcheka, Sona Jobarteh, Dele Sosimi, Derek Gripper, Eric Wainaina, Makadem, Moussa Diallo, Stella Chiweshe, Toya Delazy, Sandra Nankoma, Gemma Griffiths, Karyna Gomez, Miroca Paris, Msafiri Zawose, On The Corner Records, Nyege Nyege Tapes and many more.

    - As partners of
    Lona Musik, we book Acts and DJs from the global/urban music scene and facilitate a multitude of shows for diverse artists around multiple countries.

    - Project development and management of Cindy&Kate, an informal network of Baltic grassroots venues and cultural spaces supported by the Nordic Culture Fund, Music Estonia Live, and other partners.

    - We curate the showcase event ‘Africa NOW!’ at Tallinn Music Week.

    - International coordination & residency project Sicily Music Conference.

    - We frequently participate in conferences and showcase festivals such as WOMEX, PIN, TMW, EXIT, MENT, SMC, ESNS and others

    - Idea and concept development for the festival Tallinn Colors.

Artist Residencies, Retreats & Workshops.

In the years we have supported numerous retreats and workshops with a network of experts addressing subjects such as mental health, self-marketing, digital tools as well as creating platforms and opportunities to develop new skills.
Cooperation partners have been among others In Place Of War, Tallinn Music Week, Goethe Institut, Concerts SA, Pro Helvetia, Alliance Francaise, British Council, Nordic Culture Fund and several private organizations.
Retreats have been held in East Africa and Portugal and we have organized panels/workshops at events such as Tallinn Music Week and Sicily Music Conference.

Current status:
- We are developing a permanent physical location for art residencies in
Sicily.
- We are project partners of
Arctic Sonic with In Place of War, Nord University, Dirt Deal Audio & others

Liepaja Gourmet.

Concept development and startup of a project to promote culinary tourism to the stunning Beachtown of Liepaja (Latvia) with pop-up dinners featuring the best chefs from Latvia and beyond.
Two active events series:
- ‘Liepaja Tasting Experience’: multicourse tasting menus interpreting Latvian ingredients and recipes in a fine dining key.
- ‘Liepaja Encounters’: Product tastings, special events, and workshops in the most special locations such as the city market.

We have also created and produced the successful ‘Food Travel Think Tank’ to promote Liepaja and Latvia as a Food Travel destination.

Having been recognized for excellence Liepaja Gourmet also has catered to selected corporate events and provided VIP artist catering.

Future developments include travel experiences with foreign guest chefs and the creation of digital content targeting foodies.
In cooperation with Dekodille / Liepaja City Culture Department.

Current status: Liepaja Gourmet also is an official partner of Liepaja European Capital of Culture 2027.

Red Monkey Pop Up Bar

Over the summer 2020, we started and managed RedmonkeyLiepaja Pop up bar in Liepaja.

With a second successful season in the summer 2021, we brought the first floating bar on a boat to the region for two years.
Some additional pop-up events were held in various locations around Latvia and Estonia.

Over 150 events were organized and promoted on location over the three summer seasons, among which the successful weekly Thursday Jazz & Groove Program in cooperation with the Liepaja city culture department.

Red Monkey Pop up Bar services are available for corporate events.

Forest Treehouse Project.

Who did not dream of having a treehouse as a child?
Well, so did we and we believe it is about time to realize it.
Together with ‘Free Architecture’ we are planning a sustainable and unique experience-based setup in a beautiful forest on the Baltic coast.

Current status: a plot has been acquired and a preliminary project has been designed, we are exploring solutions for a fully sustainable approach.

Red Monkey Lodge Zanzibar.

In 2010 we took over a run-down hostel and turned it into a 14 room Boutique Hotel. Located on a stunning beach in Zanzibar it was part of the first group of accommodations getting certified by RTTZ/Travellife for responsible practices in East Africa.
Highly successful, with international press cover, chosen by numerous tour operators it also received top guest feedback on the relevant portals.

Current Status: In 2019 the lodge was handed over to new leasees and operates under new management.

Golden Tulip Boutique Hotel Zanzibar.

In 2009, as an external consultant we took over the building site as an empty shell and in six months went through all the phases of pre-opening, including the recruitment of the full team and opening to hand over the property fully operational with 42 rooms and conference facilities to the owners .


Current status: The hotel is succesfully operating under the Golden Tulip brand.

Zanzibar Gourmet.

With brands such as Hyatt, Hilton, Melia’ and some of the best boutique hotels in East Africa we have organized a series of tasting menus in Zanzibar, Dar Es Salaam and Arusha featuring collaborations of the best chefs in the region and special guest chefs, including holders of Michelin stars.

Current Status: the project has ended but sporadic dinner events with some founding members continue to happen on Zanzibar.

Crazy Monday Jam Session.

A project started from the heart: Since humble begin in 2013 this weekly jam session has become one of the longest-lasting regular jam sessions in East Africa and is currently hosted at Coral Rocks Hotel, Zanzibar.
Special Crazy Monday Jam Sessions have taken place in Berlin, Riga, and Liepaja.


Current Status: Continues every Monday at Coral Rocks Hotel, Jambiani - Zanzibar.

Bike Zanzibar.

Born to show Zanzibar off the beaten track and as a model of responsible tourism, this was the first dedicated bike tour operator on the island.
It offers multiday to one-week tours with in-house trained top guides and stays in handpicked independent boutique hotels.
Chosen by tour operators such as Monde Authentique, Tui, Frosch Reisen, Jekabwa Travel, and more, Bike Zanzibar also offers tailor-made trips for groups up to 20 people.

Current Status: the brand was sold to a former partner and is operating under her management.

 

The Zanzibar Beach & Watersports Festival.

In 2011 we co-founded The Zanzibar Beach & Watersports Festival, a celebration of beach life, culture & music, spanning 3 days held for 9 years in South East Zanzibar and involving over 100 stakeholders from the Island and beyond.

With a packed program of free participatory events, sports competitions, workshops, a craft market area, and a food court it also saw the participation of international performers attracting crowds of thousands of people.

Current Status: the festival was discontinued due to the pandemic.
